How to Make Dahi Wada Recipe at Home in English?

Dahi Vada -Dahi Wada is very tasty to eat. If you are satisfied after eating fried on festival or any other occasion, then the curd vada will take care of your stomach and taste too, with curd vada urad ki dal, mixing urad dal and moong dal, and yogurt bigger than just moong dal Today, we are making curd vadas with urad dal. Ingredients for Dahi Vada - Dahi Wada Recipe


  • Dhuli Urad Dal - 1 cup

  • Raisins - 1 tbsp

  • Cashews - 1 tbsp (finely chopped)

  • Asafoetida - 1 pinch

  • Salt - ½ tsp salt or as per taste

  • Oil - to fry

  • Curd

  • Coriander Chutney

  • Sweet sauce

  • Salt

  • Black Salt

  • Roasted Cumin Powder

  • chili powder

How to make Dahi Vada -Dahi Wada Recipe?


Wash and soak the lentils in water for 3 to 4 hours. Remove the water and grind the lentils coarsely.


Prepare batter Whisk the ground lentils thoroughly for 4 to 5 minutes. Then, add salt and asafoetida to it and keep whisking well till the lentils become fluffy.


Vada Fried:-

  • Put oil in a frying pan for frying and heat it.

  • Take a small bowl and cover it with a clean washed cloth and hold it from the back.

  • Apply a little water on the cloth by hand.

  • Then take out a small number of lentils with the hand of water and place them on top of the cloth, place a raisin and 1 to 2 pieces of cashew nuts on the lentils and close the raisin cashews by lifting the lentils all around.

  • Press the vada with wet fingers and flatten it and make it round. With a light hand, remove it from the cloth and put it to fry in a pan.

  • Wet the cloth again and make the remaining Vadas and put them in the pan to fry.

  • Flip the Vadas upside down until they turn golden brown.

  • Remove the well-roasted Wadas from the pan and keep them on a plate and fry the remaining Vadas.

Make Dumplings:-

  • To make Pakori, add a little water to the pulse and beat it. Then, break the round dumplings into the pan.


  • Fry them like Vadas till they turn golden brown and take them out on a plate after frying.

  • Soak invade water

  • Before serving the curd vadas, soak them in hot water for 15 minutes. Add a little salt in hot water and mix it.

  • After 15 minutes, soaked in big water, they become soft. Take out each vada with water and squeeze out the excess water from the palm and keep it on a plate.

  • To serve them, place 4 to 5 Vadas and Pakoris in a plate and put 6 to 7 teaspoons of whipped curd and 2 teaspoons of green coriander sauce on top.

  • Add salt, a little black salt, a little roasted cumin powder, as per taste. Then, add 2 small sweet chutneys, a little curd, and a little red chili powder.
