Veg Paneer Pulao Recipe at Home


The fragrance of fried paneer's pieces, soft puffy pea's pieces, and Indian spices. You can make Paneer Rice or Paneer Pulao recipe anytime or on any special occasion.

Ingredients for Paneer Pulao Recipe


  • Basmati rice - 1 cup (200 grams)

  • Paneer - 200 grams

  • Peas - ½ cup

  • Ghee - 2-3 tbsp

  • Coriander - 2-3 tbsp (finely chopped)

  • Ginger paste - 1 tsp

  • Salt - a little more than 1 tsp or as per taste

  • Cumin seeds - ½ tsp

  • Large cardamom - 2

  • Cinnamon - ½ inch

  • Cloves - 3-4

  • Black pepper - 8-10

  • Lemon - 1


How to Make Paneer Pulao Recipe at Home?

Step1: Wash the rice and keep it for half an hour to soak. Cook the rice in the microwave, in a cooker, or in a similar vessel.


Step2: Cut the paneer into ½ inch square pieces. Put ghee in the pan and heat it, when the ghee is slightly hot, apply the pieces of paneer to roast in the pan and turn it on both sides and fry until it turns light brown. 


Step3: Grind the cloves, black pepper, cardamom seeds, and cinnamon and coarsely.


Step4: Add cumin and ground masala to the remaining ghee in the pan and fry it lightly, now add ginger paste and fry a little. 


Step5: Add the peas, fry all the ingredients with a spoon for 1 minute and then cover it and cook it for 1-2 minutes.


Step6: Add roasted peas, boiled rice to the spices, fried paneer pieces, and salt, mix it well, add lemon juice and mix again, turn off the gas and add the casserole to a plate. 


Step7: Take it out, garnish with green coriander leaves and the paneer pulao is ready.


Step8: Serve hot Paneer Pulao with curd, chutney or pickle and eat.
